High Commissioner interacts with Lancaster University students on Rwanda’s foreign policy
High Commissioner Rosemary Mbabazi, on Monday February 10, 2025 engaged in an insightful discussion with undergraduate students of International Relations and Politics, as well as some faculty members at Lancaster University Ghana in Accra.
The event, which saw a turnout of around 80 attendees, focused on Rwanda’s foreign policy and the nation’s people-centric leadership, which has contributed to its remarkable socio-economic transformation.
Held on the Accra campus of the university, the interactive session provided students with a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Rwanda's diplomatic approach and its impact on the country's development.
High Commissioner Mbabazi shared valuable insights on the principles that drive Rwanda’s foreign policy, highlighting its emphasis on fostering peace, security, and regional cooperation.
Additionally, Mbabazi delved into the qualities and responsibilities of a diplomat, offering advice on the skills required for a successful diplomatic career.
She also used the platform to raise awareness among students about the ongoing volatile situation in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, stressing Rwanda's commitment to regional stability and its diplomatic efforts in addressing the crisis.
The engaging session was both thought-provoking and informative, sparking further interest in global diplomacy and international relations among the students and faculty present.
