PM Nsengiyumva Attends Benin Presidential Inauguration

The Prime Minister of Rwanda, Rt. Hon. Dr. Justin Nsengiyumva, on Sunday joined Heads of State, government officials, and distinguished guests from across Africa and beyond at the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Romuald Wadagni of the Republic of Benin, who officially began his seven-year term in office.

Prime Minister Nsengiyumva represented His Excellency President Paul Kagame at the inauguration ceremony held in Cotonou, which affirms the strong and growing ties between Rwanda and Benin.

During his visit to Benin, the Prime Minister also met with members of the Rwandan Community living in Benin. 

He commended their contribution to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries through their work, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.

The Prime Minister encouraged the diaspora community to continue playing an active role in advancing opportunities for partnership, investment, and development between Rwanda and Benin.

Members of the Rwandan Community in Benin expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the Prime Minister and welcomed the Government of Rwanda’s continued commitment to diaspora outreach and inclusion in national development efforts.
