The Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Atomic Energy Board, Dr. Fidèle Ndahayo, led a delegation to Accra to attend the US-Africa Nuclear Energy Summit (USANES 2026).
The summit ran from August 19 to 21 under the theme “Building and Sustaining Africa’s Nuclear Workforce,” with a focus on workforce training, safety and institutional capacity-building. It was organised by the US Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy in partnership with the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission.
While in Accra, Dr. Ndahayo and his delegation were hosted by the Rwanda High Commission in Ghana. In discussions with High Commissioner Rosemary Mbabazi, they explored opportunities for stronger collaboration between Rwanda and Ghana in the nuclear sector.
