High Commissioner Mbabazi Calls on Ghana’s Inspector General of Police
On Tuesday, 16 December 2025, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Rosemary Mbabazi, paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, at the Police Headquarters in Accra.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to engage in wide-ranging discussions on areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Ghana Police Service and its sister institution, the Rwanda National Police.
The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in policing, security management, capacity building, and the exchange of best practices in law enforcement.
High Commissioner Mbabazi highlighted Rwanda’s commitment to fostering strong bilateral relations with Ghana, particularly in the area of security cooperation, which remains critical to peace, stability, and development.
She highlighted the importance of institutional partnerships between police services in addressing contemporary security challenges and promoting community-oriented policing.
Inspector General of Police, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, welcomed the High Commissioner and reaffirmed the Ghana Police Service’s readiness to deepen collaboration with the Rwanda National Police. He commended Rwanda’s progress in professional policing and expressed interest in expanding cooperation through training programmes, experience sharing, and joint initiatives.
