High Commissioner Mbabazi Visits Ghanaian Electrical Manufacturing Firm Alpha TND Ltd
As part of efforts to strengthen bilateral trade and investment cooperation between Rwanda and Ghana, High Commissioner Rosemary Mbabazi on Thursday August 28, 2025, paid a working visit to Alpha TND Ltd, a Ghanaian manufacturing company specializing in the production, installation, and supply of electricity distribution equipment.
The visit aimed to familiarize the High Commissioner with the company’s operations and explore potential areas for deepening industrial collaboration between Rwanda and Ghana, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Headquartered in Accra, Alpha TND Ltd has established itself as a leading player in the West African energy sector, offering products and services that support national electrification and grid expansion efforts.
In recent years, the company has made strategic inroads into East Africa, including the Rwandan market, where it is contributing to energy distribution infrastructure development.
During the visit, High Commissioner Mbabazi was received by senior management of Alpha TND, who provided an overview of the company’s manufacturing processes, regional footprint, and future expansion plans.
She also toured the production facilities, where she witnessed firsthand the assembly of metering systems and other essential components used in electricity distribution systems.
Speaking during the visit, High Commissioner Mbabazi commended the company for its commitment to regional integration and industrial innovation, noting that Rwanda welcomes private sector partnerships that support the country’s energy access goals and industrial transformation agenda.
The management of Alpha TND expressed appreciation for the High Commissioner’s visit and reaffirmed their interest in expanding partnerships in Rwanda, particularly through knowledge transfer, local capacity building, and supply of quality equipment tailored to the Rwandan context.
