During her visit, High Commissioner Mbabazi engaged with the university’s management, highlighting the importance of academic and cultural exchange as key components of Rwanda’s broader international relations strategy.
The discussions centered on enhancing educational partnerships, particularly in areas such as research and student exchange programs.
High Commissioner Mbabazi emphasized Rwanda’s growing focus on education and innovation, noting that such partnerships could help contribute to the country’s development goals and the strengthening of ties between Rwanda and Ghana.
The university’s management expressed a strong interest in expanding their cooperation with Rwanda, acknowledging the potential for mutually beneficial initiatives.
Both sides agreed to explore specific areas of collaboration that could support Rwanda’s educational and economic growth, with a particular emphasis on knowledge sharing and skills development.
In addition to her meeting with university officials, High Commissioner Mbabazi also took time to engage with Rwandan students at Lancaster University Ghana.
During this session, she addressed their academic experiences, offering support and encouragement as they continue their studies abroad.
She urged the students to serve as ambassadors of Rwanda, fostering positive relationships between the two countries and contributing to Rwanda’s future development.
The students, in turn, shared their experiences, highlighting the high quality of education and the supportive environment at Lancaster University Ghana.
