President Faure Gnassingbe Concludes 2-Day State Visit to Rwanda

President Faure Gnassingbe of Togo concluded a successful two-day state visit to Rwanda from 18-19th January 2025, aimed at bolstering bilateral relations. The visit was marked by high-level discussions on various sectors including trade, agriculture, the green economy, investment, and regional security.

During the visit, President Gnassingbe and his host, President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, engaged in meaningful dialogues that underscored the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Togo and Rwanda.


President Gnassingbe expressed his optimism about the outcomes of the visit, stating, "This visit has reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and mutual support between our two countries. We have laid the groundwork for future collaborations that will benefit both our people."


President Kagame echoed these sentiments, highlighting the strategic importance of their partnership. "Rwanda values its relationship with Togo, and we are keen on exploring new avenues for collaboration. Together, we can achieve greater socio-economic development and ensure stability in our region," he said.

The visit concluded with both Heads of States reiterating their dedication to deepening ties and working together towards shared goals. The agreements and understandings reached during this visit are expected to pave the way for enhanced cooperation and prosperity for both nations.
