RDF Senior Officer Graduates from Ghana’s National College of Defence Studies
The High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Ghana has congratulated Colonel Jean-Paul Mutarambirwa of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) following his successful graduation from the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS), Ghana.
The graduation ceremony was held on Friday, 12 December 2025, marking the completion of Course 2 at the prestigious defence and security institution. Colonel Mutarambirwa graduated alongside 26 senior military officers drawn from various African countries, reflecting the college’s role in fostering regional cooperation, strategic leadership, and shared security perspectives across the continent.
The High Commission of Rwanda in Ghana, together with members of the Rwandan Community, joined in celebrating this significant professional milestone. Their presence underscored Rwanda’s strong bilateral relations with Ghana and the country’s continued commitment to capacity building, professional military education, and regional security cooperation.
High Commissioner Rosemary Mbabazi commended Colonel Mutarambirwa for his dedication and academic excellence, noting that his achievement reflects the Rwanda Defence Force’s emphasis on professionalism, leadership development, and strategic thinking.
She further highlighted the importance of such programmes in strengthening Africa’s collective ability to address contemporary security and development challenges.
The National College of Defence Studies is one of Ghana’s highest military training institution, designed to prepare senior officers and strategic-level leaders for complex national, regional, and international security responsibilities.
The High Commission congratulates Colonel Jean-Paul Mutarambirwa on this achievement and wishes him continued success as he applies the knowledge and experience gained to the service of Rwanda and the broader region.
